You are here: Home / Suspension Shortening - Bike Lowering
Available for: Enduro - MX - Supermoto - Road - Rally
'Suspension lowering' is a speciality of ours and lowering your seat height isn't just for the vertically challenged.

We have found over the years that some bikes are simply too tall, and so even seasoned pro's sometimes like to drop their seat height.
Like most things there is a compromise.... lowering the bike too much takes away ground clearance which is not a great idea if you're thinking of hitting bumps and jumps at high speed as you could bottom out much sooner.
However if you get to a tricky section like uneven ground and you're not a confident rider, trying to put your foot down when the ground is not there means you may end up on your ass! Then lowering could be for you.
Our lowering customers are mainly trail riding men and women with an inside leg of less than 30" and customers that are not so flexible or with hip replacments....
Dr Shox Lowering is done by shortening the internals inside the forks and shock to bring the whole height of the bike down. (This is reversable)
The amount is up to you but remember off road bikes have a lot of travel because of the nature of the terrain that is generally covered so it is not recommended to lower too much.
